Wisła Płock – Lech Poznań 0:2

In the 17th round of PKO Ekstraklasa, Lech Poznan faced Wisla Plock in an away clash. The guests won 2:0 following goals from Puchacz and Gytkjaer. It’s the 4th match in a row without a loss for the side from Poznan.

Zuraw’s players were visibly motivated and determined following the league triumph against Piast Gliwice, and they attacked confidently from the very first whistle. In the 2nd minute, Amaral finished off an impressive team offensive attempt with a shot at the goal, however, it was off target. Lech kept on dominating and in the 33rd minute they found a way to score. Amaral sent a well-timed and precise pass to Puchacz and the latter had no problems placing the ball in the back of the net. The score remained unchanged until halftime.

The second half didn’t differ much from the first 45 minutes. Lech was in control of the game, whereas Wisla Plock attacked occasionally through counterattacks or set pieces. In the 70th minute, Lech Poznan got another great goal-scoring change when Tiba’s pass reached Gytkjaer and the latter was left one-on-one with the keeper. Unfortunately for Lech, the goalkeeper intervened successfully. However, that didn’t stop the Danish striker from scoring eventually. In the 90th minute, van der Hart’s long ball reached Tiba and the Portuguese midfielder provided a perfect assist to Gytkjaer who converted the pass into a second goal. It was Dane’s 11th league goal of the season.
