"So far we have played two impressive matches. We have two wins on our account, but that doesn't mean that we have accomplished anything in particular. You can rate our game in June when you see what we managed to win," explained Nenad Bjelica on a press conference before the clash with Pogoń.
Similarly to the last league game, Bjelica is going to take 20 footballers with him to Szczecin. "Dariusz Dudka is not coming with us because he is ill. Victor Gutierrez is still recovering and he hasn't yet began to train. However, Nicki Bille and Elvis Kokalovic will both travel to Szczecin with us. We want them to integrate with the team," said Bjelica. "In addition, Jan Bednarek and Matus Putnocky joined the rest of the team after an absence. The final decision about the defensive line will be taken before the game. In terms of the goalkeeper I already know who'll play, but I haven't yet informed my players about the decision," added the coach.
Considering the last two wins, the coach seems optimistic ahead of the upcoming couple of games. However, he also wants to tone down the excitement. "My opinion is that the next rival we are to face is the hardest one. I said the same before the games with Termalica and Piast. Even though sometimes the results say otherwise, it isn’t always easy. In the first 15 minutes of the clash with Piast, the hosts had a couple of scoring chances. We had to work hard to build opportunities to score. No matter whom we're facing, we always need to concentrate on ourselves," explained Bjelica.
The coach believes that the fact that Lech and Pogon will face each other twice within a few days is of no importance. The two clubs play against each other on Friday (Lotto Ekstraklasa) and on Wednesday (Polish Cup). "I don't focus on the Polish Cup clash. It doesn't matter whom we're facing. After the league game we will start preparing for the Wednesday match. The two games might look totally different," emphasized the coach."Pogon is hard to beat at home, but we will try and show what we are capable of," added Bjelica.
