"Lech always plays to win. Our goal is to play the way we did against Pogon in the first half. Our main strategy is to attack and fight for 3 points in every single match,” explained Mario Situm on the pre-match press conference.
Most likely, in the Sunday game against Korona Kielce, Lech will play in harsh weather conditions. However, the weather shouldn’t affect the game itself. "During the past month we have been training in similar weather conditions, therefore we are used to it and it’s nothing new to us. Most importantly, the weather is the same for both teams. Our goal remains the same – go out on the pitch and win. We have the right thermal clothing and the physiotherapists will prepare massages to warm us up. We will be ready, no doubt about that,” Mario Situm.
Recently, Lech displayed an improved performance in the away matches against Arka and Pogon. What kind of team are we going to see on Sunday? “Lech always plays to win. Our task is to ensure we triumph as often as possible. We need to attack and be aggressive in order to beat our opponents. Our goal is to play the way we did against Pogon in the first half. Whenever we take the lead, we can move deeper towards our goal, however, our main strategy is to attack and fight for 3 points in every single match,” said the 25-year-old.
For the past months, the key problem for Lech was winning the away games. The fans are hoping that the players from Poznan will end this unfortunate series in the Sunday game against Korona. “I haven’t ever had such a long series of matches without a win in my career. We are professionals and these are the kind of things we need to deal with. We are doing everything we can to end this series. It’s a competitive league and you need to fight hard in every single match, but I believe that we can end this poor run,” explained the Croatian midfielder.
Korona has been performing well this season, especially when competing at home. Therefore, the players from Poznan can expect their rival to put up a good fight. “We haven’t yet analyzed Korona’s games. However, our coach has been preparing us for the Sunday clash. Korona is a tough rival that plays good football. Their every player knows his task on the pitch. Considering the tough weather conditions, it won’t be an easy game,” summarised Situm.
