Maciej Skorza's pre-match press conference held in Basel did not attract many journalists. The Polish media representatives were the only ones who asked questions to Lech's coach. See below what Skorza had to say ahead of the match with FC Basel.

Aims for the second leg
It cannot be denied that we are in an uncomfortable situation. Nonetheless, the word "impossible" doesn't exist in football. We are hopeful that perhaps we can cause a sensation and this is what our minds are set on. We have to be much more efficient in attack and solid in defense.
Injuries
20 players have traveled to Switzerland. For sure neither Kedziora (because of a red card, nor Paulus Arajuuri and Dawid Kownacki (because they haven't yet recovered from injuries) will be able to play, and therefore we won't see them on the pitch.
The defensive play
Undoubtedly, it's something we have to work on hard. Without correcting our defensive play, we won't achieve good scores. The changes are inevitable, for instance because of Kedziora's red card, and only after today's training session will I decide whether I will make any further changes.
Darko Jevtić
It will be a special match for him. I regret that he did not play in the previous game, which was all planned, however the red card demanded a change in tactics. I won't reveal whether he will be a part of the starting XI, but I can say that for sure he will appear on the pitch.
Abdul Aziz Tetteh
Aziz is one of the players that haven't played much recently and will soon appear on the pitch. There are still 8 matches to play in August and that is the time for such footballers to come and show their best. Tetteh is a solid player who is meant to define Lech's strength in the nearest future.
The difference between Lech and FC Basel
When you compare Ekstraklasa and Swiss league, FC Basel lives in a totally different reality. All we can do is perceive Basel as an example and thats exactly what we're doing. In the last match coach Fischer made 6 changes which allowed him to see which team is the stronger one. We cant do something like that. The expanded and balanced squad mixed with the experience in international competition makes the tomorrow's task very hard for us.
