Jasmin Burić
FC Basel is the kind of the teams that can exploit every single of your errors. We made three such mistakes and that is what we were punished for. We have to give it all in the second leg. The difference between Lech and Basel is not a big as the result can suggest.
Dariusz Formella
It was a balanced match. Jasmin's save of the penalty kick gave us a boost of hope to fight for a good result until the very end. Unfortunately, we failed to do so. It's always harder to play in ten men, however there is still a game to play and as long as the ball is still rolling, everything is possible.
Karol Linetty
We could have won this game. We had our opportunities, but we failed to score. It was a tough lesson for us. The first two goals were the result of our own mistakes and we know how much work still has to be done before we face Basel again. Nothing is lost yet. We realize how difficult the second leg is going to be, but we still can turn it all around.
