As it turned out, we did not have enough power in the offense to diminish the losses from the first leg. I regret that we have lost all those goals and that we did not even manage to tie against Basel. On the other hand, I believe that for the majority of the match we have shown good, solid football and we have been on the same level as the hosts. For a long time we have dominated and created many goal-scoring opportunities which we failed to convert into goals. When analyzing the two-leg clash, I believe that we lacked experience and calmness. If we were to sum up the chances we had, the score would have been better than the one we achieved.
The starting XI that I sent today is definitely the best one we have right now. It should be no surprise that Hamalainen got a chance, because last season he was the best goal scorer we had. Dudka replaced Kadar because Tamas needs a bit of rest and distance, but I think that he will be back on top soon.
If it wasn't for the things that happened in Poznan after the red card, I would have said that it was a very balanced clash. I am an optimist and I look forward. I believe that we will benefit in Europa League. It's a pity what happened in Poznan, because that is where the whole two-leg match was set up. Until the 77th minute we had many goal-scoring opportunities, but it ended the way it did.
If we play they way we did tonight, then we can be optimistic. However, it all depends upon whom well draw out.
