The coaches' post-match comments

Maciej Skorza and Mariusz Rumak paid compliments to their opponents following tonight's game. In addition, both coaches mentioned the bit of luck that Zawisza had.

There are those matches where unexpected things happen. In the first half we encountered problems and we didn't find a solution to them quickly enough. We lost a goal after a set-piece that we were supposed to control.

I sent Formella in for Pawlowski because I wanted a faster player on the pitch with a better physical capacity, knowing we would have to run a lot. In such games without a bit of luck winning is really difficult. We couldn't even turn the kind of chances that Gergo and Kasper had into a goal. When thinking about trophies a loss with a lower-rank team is hurtful. Both teams gave their all tonight, but Zawisza was better by the one goal.

I have considered substituting of Djoum, but when consulting the decision with my staff, the player received a second yellow and it was too late to react.

Mariusz Rumak

We knew that Lech would be the best team that we were to face up till now and it was clearly visible. When playing 11 men vs 11 men it was hard for us to control the game, whist Lech pushed through our defense. Undoubtedly the red card impacted the play and it's good that we have scored the goal quickly.

I am happy that my players executed the tactical plans. At the end of the match Lech went higher up and in result we created chances as well. We could have played one of those actions better and the ending would look different. We were also lucky with Gergo's shot. We are happy with the win, because beating a team like Lech doesn't happen often.

I am glad that people came to the match. When there is a support from the stands the players react differently. We have to earn the support with our game and for sure the fans' presence today helped us, so we are grateful.
