Lech Poznań and the French club En Avant Guingamp reached an agreement on the transfer of Pedro Rebocho. The Portuguese left-back will fly to Poznań on Sunday, watch Lech’s home clash with Lechia, and then undergo medical tests on Monday before signing a contract with the Polish club.
Pedro Miguel Braga Rebocho is 26 years old. He is meant to reinforce Lech’s left flank and he will compete for a spot in the starting line-up with Barry Douglas who has recently returned to Lech after 5 years abroad. The Portuguese player is the academy product of Benfica. Back in Portugal, he also represented Moreirense FC and then moved to En Avant Guingamp where he appeared in 87 games, 57 of which were Ligue 1 clashes. In the season 2018/19, whilst competing in the highest Portuguese division, he got 8 assists, and another 4 in the Portuguese cup.
Rebocho was later loaned to Besiktas, but he spent the last season competing for a Portuguese side - FC Paços de Ferreira – where he played alongside Joao Amaral. Back as a youth player, Rebocho appeared in UEFA Youth League games, as well as European Championship. He also has the Portuguese League Cup trophy on his account.
In the summer, the Portuguese left-back returned to Guingamp before reaching an agreement with Lech Poznań. On Sunday, the player will arrive to Poznań and watch Lech’s home league match against Lechia Gdańsk (5:30 pm) from the stands. On Monday, Rebocho will undergo medical tests and if given a green light, he is going to sign a contract with the club from Poznań.
