Pedro Rebocho joined Lech at the beginning of the current season. The Portuguese has quickly become an important figure in Skorża’s squad and won a place in the starting line-up. In his debut against Wisła Cracow (5:0), the left-back scored a goal and got an assist which emphasized how quickly he adapted to the team.
For the 27-year-old, the mentioned clash with Wisła Cracow was an outstanding evening. Not only was it the left-back’s first match at Bułgarska street, but he also got to perform in front of a 26-thousand crowd. Rebocho’s home debut couldn’t have been any better. Shortly before halftime, the Portuguese player set up Adriel Ba Loua with a perfect pass, whereas in the second part of the game, he converted a pass from Joao Amaral into his debut goal. Moreover, it was also the first time that Rebocho scored in over 6 years.
“It was an unforgettable match for me as it was my home debut. I scored a goal, got an assist, and celebrated my first win with Lech. It was an amazing evening; I did not expect it to unfold this way. I knew it could be a great game, but I couldn’t have foreseen it being such a brilliant night. It was a perfect match,” highlighted Rebocho.
In the last league round, Lech Poznań lost to Wisła Cracow (0:1). However, every time Lech loses this season, they managed to bounce back fast and go on to win the following game. “We always work hard with an aim to win. We give our all to beat our opponents; it’s what we all want above everything else so we prepare in the best way that we can,” explained Lech’s left-back.
