Mihai Radut won’t be seen on the pitch for at least 6 weeks. The Romanian player damaged his collateral ligament in the match against Lechia Gdansk.
In the recent league game, the Romanian midfielder was carried off the pitch in the first half. “We ran tests on Saturday and confirmed the initial diagnosis. We decided to proceed with recovery without a surgery. How quickly the footballer returns will depend on his rehabilitation,” explained professor Krzysztof Pawlaczyk, chief of Lech’s medical staff.
The 26-year-old isn’t the only player that suffered an injury against Lechia. Mario Situm and Jasmin Buric were also forced to leave the pitch before the game ended. The first one called for a substitution in the 18th minute, while Lech’s goalkeeper had to be replaced 12 minutes later. “Both players suffered muscle injuries. They will be working with club physios over the next few days,” said Lech’s doctor. The two footballers are expected to be recovering for the next two weeks. “Their appearance in the match against Wisla Cracow is doubtful. We can’t say definitely whether they will be at the coach’s disposal for the upcoming game,” added professor Pawlaczyk.
