Mihai Radut signed a contract with Lech Poznan on Wednesday and officially became a part of Lech’s squad. The winger will compete for the team from Poznan for the next 6 months, but the contract includes an option of a 3-year extension.
Radut’s has represented Hatta Club, a United Arab Emirates football club, for a couple of months and ended his contract in November 2016. The midfielder also played for the Romanian clubs Pandurii Targu Jiu and Steaua Bucuresti throughout his career. In total, Radut has 150 appearances on his account, as well as 14 goals and 18 assists. In addition, the footballer also competed for the Romanian National Team.
“I am very happy. It’s a tough day for me with all the medical tests I had to undergo. However, I am satisfied with the professionalism I experienced. My contract will last for 6 months and I need to prove my usefulness to the team. I hope to adapt quickly and help the squad in achieving the best possible results,” said Mihai Radut shortly after signing the contract.
The footballer is originally a left winger, but he can also play on the right flank, as well as in the midfield. His main rival in the starting line-up is Szymon Pawlowski. “I know the player, but we haven’t had a chance to meet yet. I am glad to be competing with him. For me, the fact that I will need to fight my way into the starting line-up is good news. I am really excited,” explained Radut.
The winger is the first player to join Lech’s squad in this winter transfer window. Radut will meet his new teammates on Monday when the squad’s preparations for the second phase of the season begin.
