Two Lech Poznań players appeared in the Euro 2020 match on Monday evening. Tymoteusz Puchacz* and Lubomir Šatka both played their part in Poland’s clash with Slovakia in Group E which the latter team won 2:1.
The first round of Euro 2020 group phase is nearly behind us. On Monday, the pre-last group – group E – played their matches, among them Poland and Slovakia. In the clash between the two sides, it was the latter that triumphed 2:1 and added three points to their account.
In the match held in Saint Petersburg, two Lech Poznań players made their appearance. Lubomir Šatka played the whole 90 minutes – it was the defender's 14th cap. Meanwhile, on the other end of the pitch, Tymoteusz Puchacz appeared in the 73rd minute as a substitute. The latter has recently debuted for the Polish national team and he has, so far, made 3 appearances for the red-and-white. In addition, Poland’s match squad included six players who used to compete for Lech Poznań. One of them – Karol Linetty – scored the only goal for Poland.
The Slovakian national team will play their next match on Friday, June 18th, in Saint Petersburg (3 pm) against Sweden. Meanwhile, on the following day, Poland is going to play against Spain in Seville (9 pm).
