It's been 2 years since so many fans visited INEA Stadium! People have filled in the stands to watch Lech win with Legia, but many more have sat in front of the TVs. The interest caused by the league clash between the two top Polish teams has outgrown all expectations!

The 21st century record

The sale of the tickets for the game between Lech and Legia lasted only 5 days and had to be closed 10 days before the match. Nearly 30 thousand tickets were purchased and 41.545 fans came to see the long awaited league clash from the stands. It's the first time in the 21st century that such a high frequency was registered during a T-Mobile Ekstraklasa match!

The previous record frequencies were also noted at the Poznan stadium. In November 2012 Lech (which was placed second in the league) was facing the leader, Legia Warsaw, and 40.632 fans sat on the stands to support the teams. The main difference between the two matches is the three points that this time were collected by the hosts, making the race for the title even more exhilarating.

Previously in March 2008 41 thousand football supporters came to Stadion Slaski to see the silesian derby between Ruch Chorzow and Gornik Zabrze. In November 2011 40.917 fans appeared on the official opening of the Stadion Miejski in Wroclaw which was celebrated with the game between Slask and Wisla Cracow.

Vast interest

The record frequency isn't the only record that was registered on Sunday. In total 101.601 supporters watched the matches of the 25th round of T-Mobile Ekstraklasa from the stands. What's interesting is that 41% of them visited the INEA Stadium!

The second highest frequency noted during that weekend were the 23.307 fans that came to see the derby of Cracow. Moreover, 12.493 people supported Lechia Gdansk and Gornik Zabrze from the stands.

The all-time TV hit!

The clash Lech - Legia was watched by 413 thousand people. It's worth mentioning that the game was only transmitted by Canal+ Sport HD and it is the record in the history of the Polish league transmissions in NC+. The next game between the two teams will take place in the final round and possibly in the final of the Polish Cup. Many great emotions are still ahead of us!

Hundreds of journalists and tenths of scouts

On Sunday evening over 200 journalists from Poland and from abroad visited INEA Stadium. People from all over the world could read the media coverage from the match Czechs, Greeks, Japanese (!), Germans, Russians and Hungarians. Nearly a hundred photo reporters were present during the game and more than 10 camera operators recorded the match live.
