Olimpia Grudziadz will be Lech's first rival in this season's edition of Polish Cup. The first match of the round of 16 will take place on August 12th at Olimpia's stadium.
In the Thursday draw the Polish Champions were put together with the winner from the pair Rodlo Kwidzyn - Olimpia Grudziadz. The two teams faced each other on Saturday at 17:00. The lower-ranked Rodlo did not make it easy for the first league Olimpia, and it wasn't until extra time that the team from Grudziadz finally beat their rival.
Lech will face Olimpia in Grudziadz on August 12th. The two teams have already played against each other during the pre-season. In that match Lech triumphed 2:1 thanks to Kownacki's two goals. The winner of the clash between Lech and Olimpia will face one either Ruch Chorzow, or Wisla Cracow, depending on who of the two will turn out to be better.
