Just as its been predicted, Lech began the game in Tallinn by playing offensive football. In the 6th minute Pawłowski easily passed Purga but his shot was too weak to cause any trouble to Teles. 3 minutes later Lechs winger sent a precise cross to Lovrencsics but the hosts goalkeeper intervened successfully. The offensive actions of the guests began to weaken while Nomme started attacking more bravely. In the 22nd minute Felipe Nunes had a good chance to score a goal but Burić made a great save. 5 minutes later Lech tried shooting on Nommes goal but once again the shot was far too weak to surprise the opponents. Lech was the team which dominated, yet the hosts had a better opportunity to change the result in the first 45 minutes.
Lechs fans became impatient and began demanding a goal. In the 49th minute the players from Poznan could have made their supporters joyful but Hamalainens shot yet once again was saved by Teles. The Finnish player had a better opportunity in the 55th minute but the goalkeeper turned to be better. It took the players another 20 minutes to create a dangerous offensive action. In the 76th minute Hamalainen rushed into the penalty area and left the ball for Kownacki but the young forward sent the ball flying above the crossbar. Kalju couldnt cause any threat to Lech yet in the 81st minute the hosts took the lead. Wilusz made a crucial mistake by losing the ball near the penalty area. Wakui gave no chance to Burić and placed the ball in the net. Lech was close to equalizing 2 minutes later but Kownackis header stopped on the crossbar and Hamalainens shot was inaccurate.
