One of the main aims presented to the coaching staff at the beginning of the current season was the qualification for the group phase of Europa League. Failure to achieve the set goal for the third consecutive time means that the club has to make necessary changes.
Today Mariusz Rumak, Jerzy Cyrak and Marcin Andrzejewski ended their job for football club Lech Poznań. We are grateful for their commitment and impact on the functioning and history of the club, including the two vice-champion titles won, and we wish all the best luck in their careers.
We wish to take a decision that will be the best for the club. That is why we need time to find the right person to take over the team. The staff will be led by a coach who will understand the philosophy of Lech Poznań and will build the team on the basis of professional scouting and homegrown players.
Until the negotiations with the selected coaches are over, the first team will be led by a temporary coach Krzysztof Chrobak. The long-term aim remains unchanged; the team aims for the championship of Poland. In the meantime, the short-term goal is to regain the trust of all our fans.
