Legia Warsaw - Lech Poznan 1:2

Lech won 2:1 with Legia in Warsaw, and therefore the team from Poznan took over the position of the leader. The goals for Lech were scored by Darko Jevtic and Karol Linetty at the beginning of the second half.

It was visible that the two teams had respect for one another's skills, and therefore both sides played cautiously. Lech dominated slightly over the rivals from Warsaw, however they had little successful goal attempts. Legia had trouble creating chances too, as their only attempt was Jodlowiec' shot which was blocked by Lech's defense line. Linetty and Hamalainen tried surprising Kuciak, but neither managed to cause much problems to the goalkeeper. The first half wasn't exhilarating as the fans would have wanted it to be. Solid tactical discipline dominated on the pitch and the supporters who came to watch the match live did not see a single shot on target throughout the whole first half.

Lech was more active than their opponents not only in the first half, but also at the beginning of the second part of the match. Just after halftime Lech's attacks intensified and they took control of the game. The team from Poznan was awarded a corner kick. Kownacki's shot was blocked, however Jevtic took over the ball, marked a shot and sent the ball flying into the corner of the goal. Two minutes later Linetty recovered the ball in the midfield, raced in the direction of the goal and decided for a shot which fell right into the back of the net. The accuracy of the shot left Kuciak helpless. Even though Lech quickly took over the lead, Legia managed to regain control of the match and push their opponent deeper. The hosts had multiple goals attempts, especially from corner kicks and in the 54th minute they succeeded in their attacks. It was Vrdoljak who sent the ball flying into the net with a precise header. Half an hour before the end Berg sent in Orlando Sa and Legia began pressing even more. Lechs defense had trouble keeping their rivals away from their own goal. The hosts had multiple goal attempts from free kicks and corner kicks. They were close to equalizing in the 73rd minute, but Buric's great intervention stopped Sa's header. Lech remained defending and waiting for an opportunity to counterattacks. The guests attacked with a few players only, however one of such attempts could have ended with a third goal. Sadajew had no teammate to pass to and the forward deciding to lob Kuciak. All players were surprised with the unexpected attempt, however Legia was lucky enough to have the post stop Sadajew's wonderful shot. 6 minutes before the final time Kucharczyk found himself one-on-one with Buric, however his shot wasn't accurate. Legia did not lose hope and in the injury time even Kuciak visited Lech's penalty area. Guilherme had a great chance to equalize in the very last seconds of the match, however his shot was far from accurate, and therefore despite Legia's intensive attacks, it was Lech that won the game and gathered all three points, together with the position of the T-Mobile Ekstraklasa leader.
