Hertha Berlin will be Lech’s rival in the first round UEFA Youth League. The opening match of this season’s youth tournament Lech will play in Germany, whilst the second leg will be played at Bulgarska street in Poznan.
The draw of the first round of UEFA Youth League took place on Tuesday, September 4th, in Nyon. Lech’s first rival in the tournament is going to be Hertha Berlin whom the Polish team will face on October 3rd (away game) and October 24th (home game).
Lech’s next potential opponent will be the winner of the clash Gabala SC (Azerbaijan) vs Sheriff Tiraspol (Moldavia). The tournament itself is devoted to players born in year 2000 or earlier, with exception of five youngsters (per team) who are 19 years old. Therefore, Lech’s senior team players Wiktor Plesnierowicz, Tymoteusz Klups and Hubert Sobol will be able to compete in UEFA Youth League.
