“I had a couple of offers to choose from, but I decided to go for Lech because I was impressed by their determination to sign me. I think that the club from Poznań is the perfect place for me to progress as a player,” said Alan Czerwiński who will officially become Lech’s player on July 1st.
On December 10th, Alan Czerwiński signed a contract with Lech Poznań. The 26-year-old is currently competing for Zagłębie Lubin and his contract expires at the end of the season. In accordance with the law, Czerwiński didn’t have to wait until summer to reach an agreement with another club and therefore, he decided to seal the deal with Lech. “To me, it’s a big step forward. I went from GKS Katowice to Zagłębie Lubin and now to Lech Poznań. After all, the latter is one of the biggest clubs in Poland which makes me very happy,” explained Czerwiński.
“I had a couple of offers to choose from, but I decided to go for Lech because I was impressed by their determination to sign me. Over the past few weeks, I asked around about Lech and everyone encouraged me to join them. Those two factors had the biggest influence on my decision. I think that the club from Poznań is the perfect place for me to progress as a player,” highlighted the player.
So far, Alan Czerwiński appeared on Ekstraklasa pitches 67 times, gathered 13 assists and scored 2 goals, one of which helped his team secure a 1:1 draw against Lech Poznań. “I played at Lech’s stadium 3 times already and I have very positive memories. After all, that’s where I scored my first Ekstraklasa goal,” said the right-back.
Alan Czerwiński used to compete alongside Kamil Jóźwiak in GKS Katowice and the two players met once again when the right-back was signing his contract. “We know each other from GKS and he was one of the players I came across today so he showed me around, explained what’s where and introduced me to a couple of teammates,” commented the 26-year-old.
“My biggest strength? Honesty. I would rather not talk about my skills before I appear on the pitch. Whenever I get a chance to play, fans will be the ones to evaluate my strengths. I’m aware that I will have to compete for a spot in the starting line-up with Robert Gumny but the rivalry is the same at every ambitious, competitive club. I’m ready for it,” added Czerwiński.
