Coach Maciej Skorza made 9 changes in the squad comparing to the lineup that played against Zawisza, leaving only Kaminski and Djoum. The advantageous result achieved in the first game removed the pressure from Lech's players. The hosts controlled the match. However, the fans had to wait 17 minutes to see the first shot. In the 35th minute Lech could have changed the result. Goalkeeper Wienczatek made a mistake, and did not catch the ball. Meanwhile, Kaminski attempted to place it in the net, but one of the defenders stopped the ball successfully. Despite the hosts' visible domination, the result at halftime was a blank tie.
In the second 45 minutes the play looked similar. Lech controlled the match, which Keita proved with a massive shot from the 20th meter. Unfortunately for the hosts, the shot was slightly inaccurate. In the 61st minute Lech's 18 year-old homegrown player - Krystian Sanocki - made his debut for the senior team. 7 minutes after he came on the pitch, the young footballer played a great action in which he dribbled past the defending players and sent a center into the penalty area. Even though the ball was cleared out, Luis Henriquez took it over at the 16th meter and gave a shot, however it was blocked. In the 89th minute Lech finally succeeded with its offensive actions. Sanocki sent a great pass to Formella, who directed the ball towards the further post and into the goal.
In the semifinals Lech will face Blekitni Stargard Szczecinski, who have just eliminated Cracovia. The team from Poznan will play the first leg on April 1st in Stargard Szczecinski. The return leg will take place a week later at the INEA Stadium.
