Lech Poznan drew 1:1 in the Friday clash with Wisla Cracow. For the third time in a row Lech is forced to share points with its rival. Darko Jevtic scored the only goal for the team from Poznan.
Lech Poznan conceded a goal early in the 8th minute. Wojtkowski won an air clash with Nielsen and redirected the ball to Carlitos who placed it in the net from outside the box. Following the goal, the guests moved deeper into their own half of the pitch. However, Ramirez’s team also applied high pressing and didn’t allow Lech to build dangerous offensive actions.
The image of the game changed in the 30th minute thanks to Gytkjaer. Firstly, the Dane fired a shot from outside the penalty area and then he received a great cross from Makuszewski. However, both his attempts were off target. In the 36th minute Lech had a good opportunity to equalize. Makuszewski’s shot from outside the box caused a lot of problems to the goalkeeper. The keeper failed to catch the ball and Jevtic had a good chance to redirect it into the back of the net, but instead his shot hit Buchalik.
Shortly afterward Lech had another decent scoring chance. This time Majewski spotted Gajos and the latter dribbled past Glowacki and tried surprising the keeper with a shot towards the further post, however, his attempt was easily stopped by the keeper. In the 39th minute Lech could have scored once again. This time Tralka came close to scoring, but his attempt was stopped by Arsenic. Before the referee whistled halftime, Majewski fired an accurate shot at the goal and Buchalik had to intervene once again.
Lech was equally determined to equalize in the second half. The hosts enclosed Wisla in its own half of the pitch. In the 53rd minute Majewski had another scoring chance, however, once again his shot was easily stopped by the keeper. Makuszewski tried scoring too, but his attempt was slightly off target. The hosts dominated the match, but they seemed to be unlucky. Whenever Lech tried playing fast football, Wisla struggled to recover the ball. In the 66th minute, Jevtic’s indirect free kick caused chaos in Wisla’s box, but Tralka’s shot flew above the crossbar. Rakels brought fresh energy to Lech and he was involved in a couple of decent offensive actions, but he failed to score too,
Wisla defended solidly and in the last quarter of the match, the team from Cracow didn’t leave its own half of the pitch. In the 77th minute Majewski attempted to equalize yet again, but this time his shot was far off target. 4 minutes later Gytkjaer came close to scoring, but his attempt was imprecise too.
In the 87th minute, Lech found a way to beat Wisla’s defensive line. Radut placed the ball in the net following a set piece, but the goal was ruled offside after a consultation with VAR referee. However, Lech didn’t give up and finally in the very last minute of the match Lech equalize. Majewski crossed the ball into the box and Jevtic scored a goal worth an important league point.
