Lech Poznań - Sparta Prague 2:1

The beginning of the game did not belong to any of the teams, however it was the Czechs that first created a goal opportunity. In the 9th minute Vacha sent a great ball from a free kick but it stopped on the bar. Soon after it was Lech who took control over the game and this image remained till the end of the first half. In the 22nd minute Poles could have made it 1:0 but the action of Pawłowski, Hamalainen and Lovrencsics was finished by the latter and he missed. Sparta replied a minute later but Sykorys shot was too weak to cause any trouble to Gostomski. In the 37th minute Lech showed its superiority by scoring a goal. Claasen sent a great long ball to Hamalainen who placed it in the net with a technical shot.

The beginning of the second half, however, belonged to the Czechs and in the 52nd minute they were close to equalizing. Bednar beat the defender in the penalty area but his technical shot wasnt accurate enough. 5 minutes later Lech attacked once again and made it 2:0. Linetty won back the ball and passed it to Lovrencsics who being one-on-one gave no chance to the goalkeeper. Since that moment the Poles completely dominated the game. In the 62nd minute Hamalainen could have scored his second goal but Spartas defender intervened. The wasted chance took revenge on Lech in the 72nd minute. The ball after Prikryls cross found Julis in the penalty area and the Czech player had no difficulties placing it in the goal. 3 minutes later Vacha was close to equalizing, once again with a free kick, but this time he slightly missed. The end belonged to Sparta but Lech defended wisely and the result remained 2:1.
