Lech Poznan - Ruch Chorzow 2:2

In the 12 round of Polish Ekstraklasa Lech Poznan drew with Ruch Chorzow at INEA Stadium 2:2. Pawlowski and Kaminski got the goals that helped Lech collect a single point.

Before the match really began, the guests already got their first goal-scoring opportunity. Lipski's precise ball sent from a free kick reached Stepinski who did not have much trouble redirecting it into the net. The fans gathered at INEA Stadium weren't expecting such a blow, especially with a new coach standing by the sidelines.

Urban's players were determined to equalize as soon as possible, but again and again Lech's offensive actions were unsuccessful. Ruch got their moment of brilliance too and in the 25th minute the team from Poznan was losing 0:2. The offensive actions led by the guests looked similar to the one from the opening minute of the match; the sole difference was that Lipski's cross came from the right flank.

Lech finally succeeded in catching up to their rival shortly before halftime. Szymon Pawlowski led an individual offensive action on the left flank. The winger dribbled past one of the defending players and sent the ball into the penalty area above the defenders' head... and right into the corner of the net.

When the players returned for the second half of the game, Lech began to dominate. Around the 55th minute Linetty had a great goal-scoring opportunity, but his shot turned out to be too weak and the goalkeeper stopped the ball. Shortly afterwards Douglas' cross created another chance to score for Lech, but this time it was Jevtic that failed to place the ball in the net.

Lech succeeded with its offensive actions for the second time that Saturday night when Douglas sent the ball into the penalty area where, after multiple chaotic attempts to put the ball in the goal, Kaminski found himself in the right place at the right time and scored the equalizer. Urban's team kept on attacking, however despite a few good goal-scoring opportunities Lech failed to score the third goal that would get them the win they have been waiting for for so long, and so the Polish Champions were left with a single point.
