In the 26th round of T-Mobile Ekstraklasa Lech Poznań won at home with Podbeskidzie Bielsko-Biała 2:1. Pietruszka scored the goal for the guests, while Wołąkiewicz and Możdżeń got the 3 points for Lech.
Since the beginning Lech has been trying to take control over the match but the chaotic game of the guests didnt make it easy. Podbeskidzie did not visit the hosts penalty area often yet in the 20th minute they had a great chance to take the lead. Iwański sent a great ball to Stąporski but the latter shot the ball too light and Wołąkiewicz made it just in time to stop his team from losing a goal. Kolejorz replied 5 minutes later - with a great individual action Kownacki created a chance for Claasen but the African player shot the ball in the side net. In the 30th minute the guests did not succeed stopping the young forward of Lech, at least not legally, and referee had no other choice than to call a penalty. Wołąkiewicz was the one to place the ball in the net. The result at halftime remained 1:0 for the hosts.
Merely 120 seconds had passed and Lech should have been leading 2:0. Douglas and Teodorczyk played the defense apart but the Scot was forced to finish the action with his worse, right, leg and the ball had no chance of finding the back of the net. The wasted opportunity took revenge on the hosts in the 63rd minute. Pietruszka decided to shoot from a far distance, completely surprising Gostomski, and this way he equalized. 8 minutes later the guests were close to taking the lead when after a counterattack Malinowski found himself one-on-one with the goalkeeper but it was Gostomski who won the clash. Lech replied with the shots of Teodorczyk and Kownacki which were either inaccurate or saved by Zajac. In the 83rd minute hosts could have made it 2:1 but the first shot of Lovrencsics was saved by the goalkeeper and the second blocked by the defenders. However, Lech was lucky that night. The very last action of the match was a free kick given to the hosts and Możdżeń was the one to win the 3 points for Lech, placing the ball in the net from a distance of 17 meters.
