Lech Poznan - Korona Kielce 1:1

In the 27th round of T-Mobile Ekstraklasa Lech Poznan drew at home with Korona Kielce 1:1. Gergo Lovrencsics scored the goal for the team from Poznan.

Lech was motivated ahead of the league match, having qualified to the final of the Polish Cup on Thursday, and also because of the recent news about Legia's loss which meant that the team from Poznan could become the leader. And it wasn't the end of good news - apart from Zaur Sadajew who missed the last game because of yellow cards, Gergo Lovrencsics whos been injured also returned to the squad for the match against Korona Kielce.

At the beginning the two teams played cautiously, however the guests did not waste time and a few minutes into the match Korona attacked. Golanski directed a shot at the goal from the 20th meter and although Gostomski managed to intervene, the goalkeeper did not catch the ball. That is how Porcellis got an opportunity to place the ball in the net, and if it wasn't for the offside, the player would add a goal to his account. The guests could have taken over the lead in the 20th minute when Formella unluckily slipped in the penalty area and fouled Carlos. The referee pointed to the white spot, but Porcellis did not convert it into a goal, as he sent the ball flying into the stands. Lech replied instantly. Both Linetty and Hamalainen could have changed the result, however it was Sadajew that had the best opportunity. The forwad received a great pass from Kedziora, passed Korona's goalkeeper, but because of the acute angle he failed to place it in the net.

Following the halftime it was Lech that dominated. The hosts were in possession of the ball most of the time, struggling to score a goal, while their rivals waited for Lech's mistake and a chance to counterattack. In the 58th minute Lech succeeded. The ball fell by Lovrencsics' feet and the Hungarian shot the ball from an acute angle. The shot was strong enough and accurate enough to find its way into the net, having rebounded from the post. However, the hosts were soon brought down to earth as their opponents equalized. Jovanovic sent a center to Kapo, the player passed to Carlos and the latter had no problem scoring from a few meters. Lech did not have many more chances to collect all three points, apart from Kownacki's header, however the young forward's attempt was cleared by the goalkeeper; therefore the teams shared the points and Legia remained the leader with a two-point advantage over the team from Poznan.
