Lech Poznan lost a training match played in Belek where the players are preparing for the upcoming league games. This time the Polish team faced FK Vozdovac and was beaten by one goal. Alen Masovic secured the win for the Serbians.
In the first half, neither of the teams had many goal-scoring opportunities. Both Lech and Vozdovac tried to remain in possession of the ball for as long as possible which meant that they rarely took risks. Lech attacked the Serbian goal for the first time in the 24th minute. Letniowski who was competing with no. 10 on his back that afternoon sent a well-timed pass to Tomczyk, but the latter failed to intercept the pass. A couple of minutes later, on the other end of the pitch, Vozdovac was given a free kick just outside of the box and Lukovic converted it into a shot on target. Luckily for Lech, Szymanski intervened impressively. Shortly before halftime, one of the Serbians collided dangerously with Skrzypczak. Fortunately, the two players didn’t suffer any injuries and returned to the pitch within a couple of minutes.
In the second half, Nawalka’s players attacked at a higher intensity. The Polish team got a scoring opportunity in the opening minutes of the second part of the game when Radut sent a great pass parallel to the goal line, but there wasn’t anyone to redirect the ball into the back of the net. Shortly afterwards, Masovic raced down the left flank and dribbled past a couple of defenders but he failed to beat the Polish keeper. In the 52nd minute, Letniowski fired a dangerously shot at Vozdovac’s goal, however, the goalkeeper intervened perfectly. 4 minutes later, the Serbians attacked one again and this time Masovic won a direct clash with Lech’s keeper and placed the ball in the back of the net.
The Polish team was determined to equalize. However, despite Letniowski having chances to score and most of his attempts being on target, Lech couldn’t find a way to put the ball in the net. The Poles were given a free kick which Kostevych converted into a precise shot, but once again, the ball stopped on the post.
Lech failed to change the score in their favour and the match ended with a 1:0 win for Vozdovac. The team from Poznan has one more training match planned, this time against Shakhtar Donetsk.
