In the 7th round of T-Mobile Ekstraklasa Lech Poznań tied in a home game with Cracovia 1:1. The guests took the lead after Marcin Budzińskis goal and Kasper Hamalainen scored the equalizer.
The hosts have promised offensive football since the very beginning and that is what the fans at Bułgarska street saw. The game most of the time took place on Cracovias half of the pitch. In the 3rd minute Jevtić slightly missed from a distance. The Swiss player shone with his individual action in the 16th minute when the dribbled past 3 defenders, rushed into the penalty area and sent a strong flat shot in the direction of the goal but the goalkeeper intervened successfully. As the clock kept on ticking the hosts seemed to run out of strength, or so did their attacks, and that created chances for a counterattack for Cracovia. One of such opportunities was well-used by the guests and they took the lead. Budziński had no trouble with Henriquez and his precise shot from outside the penalty area gave no chance to Kotorowski. Lechs first attempt to catch up took place after 12 minutes, also after a counterattack, driven by Lovrencsics. However, Pawłowskis shot from 20 meters was inaccurate. In the additional time of the first half the Hungarian winger could have equalized but his shot stopped on the crossbar.
The second half couldnt have started better. Ubiparip took over the ball in the midfield and sent a long ball to Hamalainen who had no difficulty passing by the goalkeeper and placing it in the net. It took the hosts 30 seconds of the second 45 minutes to equalize and start the game all over again. The players from Poznań could have made it 2:1 in the 50th minute but Pilarz stopped Ubiparips and Hamalainens great offensive action. Lech kept on attacking and in the 66th the Serbian forward had his chance but instead of shooting from 16 meters he should have passed to Lovrencsics for whom itd be easier to place the ball in the net. In the 73rd minute Lechs defense was in trouble when Deleu received a pass from Dialiba and sent the ball flying in the direction of the goal but Kotorowskis intervention was successful. In the 85th minute Douglas had the ball of the match but his free kick was inaccurate and the game ended with a draw.
