Lech began the match better than their opponent and in the 3rd minute the players from Poznan ame close to scoring for the first time. Pawlowski sent a cross from the left flank into the penalty area and Lukasz Tralka converted it into an accurate shot. However, the goalkeeper intervened successfully. A few minutes Gumny sent a similar pass, but Makuszewski's header wasn't on target.
After a period of Lech's domination Arka gradually gained control over the game, but found it hard o built good offensive actions. Kakoko was the first one to cause trouble to Lech's defense line with a shot that missed the post but no by far. It was one of Arka's couple of shots only. Meanwhile, the team from Poznan encountered similar problems with heir rival's defense line.
Lech finally succeeded in passing Arka's defense line in the 39th minute. Wilusz saw Formella whom he sent a long ball that put the winger in a good position to score, but the goalkeeper intervened well. On the other end of the pitch Szwoch tried surprising Buric, but he failed too.
After halftime it was Arka Gdynia that had more goal-scoring opportunities. The players from the seaside dominated, but couldn't convert the chances into a goal. Most of their shots were blocked by the defenders. One of the corner kicks ended with Yussuff's header, but the ball flew above the crossbar.
After about 10 minutes Lech regained control over the match. Tetteh tried shooting from outside the penalty area, but his shot was easy to stop. Lech wanted to surprise Arka's goalkeeper with crosses from set-pieces, but the player from Gdynia guarded the goal really well and won many aerial clashes.
Lech occupied Arka's penalty area for the last quarter of the match but the defense line was hard to overcome. Nevertheless, both sides had their own chances to score. Robak finally succeeded in placing the ball in the net the injury time when he received a good pass from Majewski and set the score to 1:0.
