Lech’s Sunday clash with Raków Częstochowa was an emotional rollercoaster. Despite being down 2:0, Lech managed to score three and, just a few moments before the final whistle, conceded a crucial goal which resulted in a 3:3 draw.
Lech and Raków created an exhilarating spectacle on Sunday afternoon. However, neither of the sides was truly satisfied with the final score as they were forced to share points.
Raków dominated the opening minutes of the first half and within 30 minutes, the guests found the back of the net twice. Ivi Lopez and Oskar Zawada both managed to beat Bednarek and show why Raków is the current leader of Ekstraklasa. The team from Poznań bit back before halftime with a goal from Mikael Ishak. It took Lech additional 7 minutes of the second half to change the score to 3:2 thanks to a good penalty kick from Jakub Moder and a beautiful technical shot by Dani Ramirez.
Just when it seemed that the hosts would add three important league points to their account and everyone was waiting impatiently for the final whistle, Raków’s substitute Daniel Szelągowski raced down the pitch with the ball, dribbled past three players and scored a valuable equalizer for the guests. As a result, the teams were forced to share points.
