Lech Poznan has had a series of 4 matches without a win. However, Bjelica’s players are hoping that on Saturday they will initiate a period of wins.
The club from Poznan has 6 games scheduled until the end of this calendar year. The upcoming league clash with Sandecja Nowy Sacz is scheduled for Saturday. The two teams have already played against one another this season and the game ended with a goalless draw. “We have been training very hard during the break for national teams. We want to bring 3 points back from Nowy Sacz and initiate a series of wins,” explained Volodymyr Kostevych, Lech’s defender.
In the past 4 matches Lech Poznan collected on 3 points. Currently, the club is ranked 5th with 5 points less than the leader. “The situation we are in isn’t tragic, however, it could be much better. In the previous matches we played well but failed to win points. We have to start winning on Saturday and continue collecting points until the end of this calendar year,” said Maciej Gajos, Lech’s captain.
Bjelica’s players have 18 points to win in the upcoming matches. “We are also hungry for success, similarly to our fans. We are perfectly aware that’s it’s all up to us if we win or not. I am sure that sooner or later a series of successful matches will come. If we manage to win a single game, the rest will follow,” highlighted Lukasz Tralka, Lech’s midfielder. “There is no recipe for a win. I can quote books, but the truth is that what happens on the pitch is a different story.”
The coach is also awaiting anxiously the upcoming games. Bjelica emphasizes that winning is the sole aim for the next 6 matches. “We need a series of wins because we haven’t had one yet this autumn. We have 6 games left and we need to concentrate in order to collect the maximum number of points,” explained Lech’s coach.
