On Saturday morning, Lech Poznań faced Chrobry Głogów is a friendly match on one of the training pitches located at Bułgarska Street. Despite heavy rainfall, Lech triumphed 1:0 thanks to a second-half goal from Maksym Pietrzak.
“We have to be happy with the friendly game because we created numerous goal-scoring opportunities. Adriel Ba Loua performed well in the first half – he had chances and also set up his teammates with a few. Sometimes I think that we are too hungry for a goal and end up making suboptimal decisions in the opponent’s penalty area. Still, we are happy with the number of our goal-scoring opportunities; the opponent had to boot the ball from the goal line three times, if I’m not mistaken. Most of the players who play in Ekstraklasa got to perform for 45 minutes. Then the youth appeared on the pitch and managed to maintain the tempo which is a positive thing. It was a good chance to uphold the match rhythm, now we began the preparations for the away match against Stal,” summarised Lech’s coach, Mariusz Rumak.
