Korona Kielce - Lech Poznań 0:1

Both team had to fight in very extreme weather conditions. The air temperature fell down to minus 10 degrees Celsius and it was snowing throughout the whole match. One couldn't have expected much from the players, tough every player tried hard to fight as much as possible which actually made this game interesting and watchable. The home team had adjusted to the weather conditions much faster but Lech controlled the ball for most of the time.  Korzym had a good goal opportunity in the 10th minute. However, Korona's forward tried for too long to prepare his shot and was stopped by Lech's defenders.

Just six minutes later Korzym didn't have any second thoughts and just kicked the ball with his full strength but Lech's goalkeeper-Kotorowski-was there. Kolejorz started to take over the initiative after about thirty minutes of the game. After a pass from Henriquez, Bereszyński sent the ball just a few inches next to the post. Two minutes after that the same player tried a shot from the outside of the penalty area. The ball was caught by Korona's goalkeeper Szlakotin. Lech had its best situation of the 1st half in the 32nd minute when Tonev sent a precise center to Ślusarski.  Unfortunately, he hit it with his head just over the bar. The 1st half ended with a goalless draw.

Ball possession in the 2nd half changed for the advantage of  the home team which enabled them to take over the initiative. Korona had a chance to take the lead. Henriquez made a mistake while exporting the ball from Lech's penalty area. The ball was intercepted by Janota. Korona's  short midfielder hit the ball too weak to surprise Kotorowski. Lech had an opportunity ten minutes later. Some commotion broke out in the penalty area of Korona after a ball served by Henriquez from a corner. Defenders of the home team managed to outrun Ślusarski and block Drewniak. Kolejorz scored a goal three minutes later.

Trałka decided to shoot from a distance. The shot was very poor but Bartosz Ślusarski was in its way and hit the ball into the back of the net of Korona's goal by a sliding kick. Korona was trying to find an equalizer till the end of the game. However, wisely playing in defence Lech didn't let the players  from Kielce do much. The home team had their splendid chance to score in additional time.  A shot from 18 meters by Janota was effectively sent over the bar by Lech's goalie-Kotorowski. So it finished with the 7th away win for the team from Poznań in this round.
