Kamil Jóźwiak extended his contract with Lech Poznan. The agreement will last at least until June 2019. The deal includes an automatic extension for another 2 years.
“It’s wonderful news,” commented Piotr Rutkowski, Lech’s vice-chairman. “After a confusing period and an abrupt end of negotiations, Kamil came to us and suggested an agreement himself. The negotiations led by the player and his father went smoothly and quickly,” added the vice-chairman.
The new contract includes an extension clause for 2 years. “The clause is a benefit for the player who’s agent previously demanded a contract we simply wouldn’t agree on,” explained the vice-chairman. “The moment we sat down at the table together with Kamil and his dad, we found a compromise very quickly. However, we will no longer discuss the details of the agreement,” emphasized Rutkowski.
The player was also happy about the new contract. “I am Lech’s homegrown footballer and I owe the club a lot. I know that staying here at the club is the best thing I can do. I am happy to have signed the contract since now I can fully focus on my performance,” explained Lech’s winger.
The 19-year-old has played in 29 matches for the senior team so far. This season the footballer has already appeared in 7 games, during which he scored twice and added 2 assists to his account.
