Gostomski's intervention in the last minutes of the 34th round of T-Mobile Ekstraklasa allowed Lech to collect all three points in the match against Lechia. In the injury time the goalkeeper miraculously saved Colaka's header from a close distance. It was an unusual game for Gostomski becaue he came in on the pitch in the 82nd minute as a substitute for injured Buric.
The importance of this save was emphasized shortly after the match and many people claimed it might have been the intervention that decided about the Championship. Gostomski's moment of brilliance was also recognized by the fans. In the voting organized by Ekstraklasa.tv 30,9% of people chose his intervention as the best one of the recent league season, while Putnocki (Ruch Chorzow) received 25,2% of the votes and Baran (Jagiellonia Bialystok) 23%.
