Intensified schedule

3 days after the Saturday league match against Ruch Chorzow Lech is going to play once again. There is only one training session to be held in between the games. "The memories from autumn return," laughs Kownacki.

Lech has already played 6 matches this spring. Just one of them did not take place on a weekend. It's an unusual situation for Lech's players since they are used to playing every 3 or 4 days. The coach agreed to a possibility of rotating the players ahead of the Tuesday match. This tactics is Urban's signature strategy.

"We will be forced to rotate with the squad, but I don't yet know to what extent. One of the reasons is the absence caused by yellow cards," explained Urban. "There are many aspects I take under consideration when deciding about the starting lineup. We are going to play 3 games within a week and there are a couple players who will travel to their National Team groupings. I don't want the footballers to be overloaded," emphasized the coach.

One of the players who have been given more rest is Kownacki. The 19 year-old hasn't yet played full 90 minutes this spring, although in 4 matches he came as a starter. "We have a specific squad with only one forward and thus the coach gives me some rest. Of course, I would like to play as much as it is possible, but I have to keep in mind every upcoming match and the necessity of the time to recover," said the forward.

The young footballer is ready to face Zaglebie Sosnowiec. On Tuesday Lech will try to take another step closer to the Polish Cup final which is going to take place at the National Stadium in Warsaw, at the beginning of May. "It is an important match. We cannot yet think about the league match against Legia Warsaw, because there is one game left to play before that and it immensely significant because every single one of us wants to play in the final. The fans have their expectations and it is the right time for us to make another step forward," explained Kownacki.
