“We are still under pressure, knowing our current situation. Our main aim was to collect 3 points, and we did so. We might have not had the best start, but we were determined to start winning and we succeeded,” said Łukasz Trałka, Lech’s captain.
After 4 matches without a win, the team from Poznań finally won a league clash. “We performed well against Cracovia. Nevertheless, what counted the most was to collect 3 points. Knowing our current situation, talking about determination and commitment, or its lack, is pointless since we all know that we are obliged to give it all on the pitch. We need no reminder of that,” said the midfielder.
However, Lech remains placed low in the league table. The one key thing that improved is the team’s mental state thanks to the two recent matches. “The match with Podbeskidzie, a first-league team, was something we wanted to pull through while focusing on the league, but when we managed to win, we felt relief and peace. Soon we moved on to the league clash we had to win,” explained Trałka.
Now the team from Poznań concentrates on the match against Bruk-Bet Termalica Nieciecza. “We need the points more than anyone. The last wins give us a chance to take a deep breath, but we are still under pressure. Every match is important,” emphasized the footballer, adding, “I hope the worst period is already behind us.”
