“I wanted to have him in my squad,” said Nenad Bjelica when asked about Lech’s newest signing, Mihai Radut. The footballer signed a contract with Lech on Wednesday.
In autumn the coach had 4 wingers at his disposal - Maciej Makuszewski, Szymon Pawlowski, Dariusz Formella and Kamil Jozwiak. Darko Jevtic was often placed on one of the flanks as well. However, since Formella was sent on loan to Arka Gdynia and Jozwiak might change the club temporarily too, someone needed to strengthen the wings and Bjelica chose Radut.
He fits Lech’s philosophy, as well as my style of play
“Radut is a footballer I really wanted to have in my squad. He fits Lech’s philosophy, as well as my style of play. He can play on four different offensive positions. Radut is a very talented and intelligent footballer. He is strong in playing one-against-one,” explained the Croatian coach.
He has the right attitude, he is determined
Before Radut joined Lech Poznan, he met with Bjelica. “He made a good impression on me. He has the right attitude, he is determined and he wanted to join Lech to pursue his career. Radut wants to win, collect trophies and see how he does in a well-organized, professional football club,” told us Bjelica, who seems excited to start working with the winger.
Radut will join his first training session on Monday when the squad begins its preparations to the second phase of the season.
