On Thursday morning, Lech Poznań finalised another summer signing. Daniel Håkans has joined the team from Poznań on a permanent transfer from Vålerenga Fotball. The 23-year-old Finnish winger signed a 4-year contract with Lech.
The young Finn arrived in Poznań on Tuesday evening. The following day, he underwent medical tests and, having been given a green light, on Thursday he finalised the negotiations with Lech Poznań and signed a contract that will last until 2028.
“Daniel is meant to reinforce our offensive line. He is a dynamic, fast player capable of good positioning behind the opponent’s defensive line. He aligns with our style of play well and, in addition, he enjoys spending time in the box and finishing offensive attempts, hence we are counting on his goals,” said Tomasz Rząsa, Lech’s Sporting Director.
Daniel Håkans is joining Lech on a permanent transfer from Vålerenga Fotball – a Norwegian side that was relegated from Eliteserien last season. In the previous campaign, Håkans played in 37 games and scored 11 goals. The 23-year-old also competes for the Finnish national team – he has 8 senior-team caps in his accounts and 4 goals.
“I am very excited to be joining Lech Poznań. I have already known before that it’s a very big club and I cannot wait to play here. My first objective after joining the squad is to get to know the style of play and do my best to help the team with my performances,” said Lech’s latest signing.
The 23-year-old will be competing with number 11 on his back, which has previously belonged to another winger - Kristoffer Velde.
