Starting January, Gerard Juszczak will be a part of Lech’s coaching staff. The former analyst coach of the Polish National Team joined the club from Poznan in place of Karol Bartkowiak. Meanwhile, the latter will be working with the reserves team alongside Dariusz Zuraw.
For the past 6 months, Gerard Juszczak has been working for Korona Kielce as an analyst coach. He used to occupy the same position back when he was a part of Polish National Team coaching staff and worked alongside Adam Nawalka, Lech’s current coach. Juszczak’s career includes clubs such as Kmita Zabierzow, Zaglebie Sosnowiec, Wisla Cracow’s Academy, and Garbania Cracow.
“I am a UEFA Pro licensed coach, therefore I can help in all aspects of coaching, whether it’s the first team sessions or individual training. I want to use my knowledge and experience to help coaches and analysts. This is what I did back in Korona Kielce and in the Polish National Team. I know here in Poznan I won’t be lacking challenges,” said Juszczak.
The Cracow-born coach is best known for his successes in a different sports discipline – futsal. In the years 2009-2014 he coaches Pogon 04 Szczecin and won a silver medal in Polish Futsal Championships. In 2009, Juszczak also coached Polish National Team in the same sports discipline.
“I am glad I can join such a big club and work with such a great coach whom I know and have already had the chance to cooperate with. I know what to expect and I am not afraid of the challenges. I am boarding this train and hoping that it can get us to the very top,” emphasised Lech’s new assistant coach.
