Tight schedule
We have appealed to PZPN (Polish Football Association) for rescheduling the match against Olimpia Grudziadz because of our hectic time table. Unfortunately, we did not succeed and we will continue playing every three days. Nonetheless, we will travel to Grudziadz with an aim to win and advance to the next round.
We haven't yet faced a rival that would play as regualarly in Champions League as FC Basel, and therefore we focused on the game against the Swiss. Now we want to regain the rhythm and achieve good scores on only on the international arena, but also in the league and Polish Cup. We treat every single of our opponents in the same way and so we don't neglect the game against Olimpia.
Olimpia Grudziadz
We don't look back on what had happened three years ago, because we prefer to focus on the future, not on the past. We treat Polish Cup seriously, and therefore we will send an optimal starting XI to face Olimpia. We will do our best to advance to the next round.
Olimpia has an experienced squad and many of its players used to represent Ekstraklasa clubs. We played a sparing game with Olimpia this summer and that is why I know that it's going to be a tough match. The Polish Cup has its own rules and there are multiple surprises each season, therefore individual attitude of each player is very significant.
The absences
At the moments it's hard to say which players won't take part in tomorrow's match. Right now we do know that neither Barry nor Darko will travel to Grudziadz. We keep in touch with the medical staff and only after the afternoon training session will we be able to take any further decisions.
Tomorrow's starting XI
We wanted to give a chance to the players that get less minutes for them to get some playing time in the Polish Cup, but unfortunately life forced us to do otherwise. Tomorrow's starting lineup is going to be made up of the players that have enough strength to fight with Olimpia. In addition, we are limited by the rules, and therefore only three players that performed in the reserves' team are at our disposal for tomorrow.
