During the winter preseason, Lech Poznań will play five friendly matches – four of which will take place in Turkey where the team from Bułgarska street is going to prepare for the spring round. Four opponents have already been announced.
Skorża’s players will resume training sessions on January 7th and four days later they will fly to Turkey where the preseason training camp is going to take place. For the next 12 days, Lech’s squad will stay at Susesi Luxury Resort. Four friendly games are scheduled to take place during the training camp with one rival yet to be announced. Initially, the team from Poznań was supposed to face Shakhtar Donetsk on January 18th – similarly to the previous years – however, the Champions League side changed their plans.
Still, the opponents for the remaining three friendly games have been confirmed. First, Lech is going to face a Czech club – Banik Ostrava – that is currently ranked 5th in their league. Meanwhile, on January 20th, the team from Poznań will compete against the Georgian league champions – Dinamo Batumi – who have won the title for the first time in the club’s history. Lastly, the Polish squad will face Slovenian champions – NK Mura – who have also beaten all odds and triumphed in their league. All the friendly games played in Turkey will be broadcast on Lech TV.
On January 23rd, Skorża and his team will return to Poznań, and the remaining two weeks ahead of the start of the league, they will train at Bułgarska street. However, before PKO BP Ekstraklasa resumes on February 6th, the players from Poznań will have to face one more rival – the second-division Miedź Legnica.
