Lech Poznań finalised their second summer signing. On Wednesday afternoon, Bryan Fiabema became the newest member of Lech’s squad. The forward is joining the Polish club on a permanent transfer from Real Sociedad. Fiabema signed a 3-year contract with Lech, with an option to extend the agreement for another 12 months.
The young striker arrived in Poznań on Monday night. He underwent medical tests on the following two days and after receiving a green light from the medical team, he signed a contract with the club from Poznań.
“Bryan Fiabema is joining us to reinforce the rivalry in the offence. He is a player capable of performing in all positions. We see his potential and count on him developing at Lech. He is a go-getter; he is fast and dynamic. He has regularly competed for the Norwegian youth national teams; in June, he played in Norway’s U-21 squad and scored against Denmark. Fiabema spent a few years at Chelsea and the last year at Real Sociedad,” explained Tomasz Rząsa, Lech’s Sporting Director.
Fiabema was born in northern Norway and began his career as a football player at Tromsø IL before joining Chelsea in 2020. He played for the London youth teams and spent time on loan at Rosenborg Trondheim and Forest Green Rovers. In August of 2023, he moved to Real Sociedad where he competed for the B team, scoring 5 goals and adding 1 assist to his account.
“I have recently received offers from a few Spanish clubs. However, I spoke to Kristoffer Velde, who told me many good things about Lech. I chose the offer from Poland because Lech is a big club that aims to play in Europe every year. I know that here I will have the possibility of taking another step in my career,” said Fiabema.
The striker has regularly played for Norway’s national team, in various age categories. In June this year, he appeared in Norway’s U-21 friendly clash with Denmark (3:3) and scored a goal. Now he is joining Lech on a permanent transfer from Real Sociedad. His contract is valid until June 30th, 2027, with an option to extend the agreement for another year.
The 21-year-old will wear no 19 on his back.
