"Every match is important"

After 4 wins in a row, Lech will face Arka Gdynia. Such a great series helped the team from Poznan decrease the loss to the current leader to 2 points only. “We want to prepare for the Friday game as well as we possibly can. Our aim is to win against Arka. We are concentrated on hard work and the upcoming match. The clash will be another opportunity to take a step closer to achieving the goal we have set for ourselves,” explained Matus Putnocky, Lech’s goalkeeper.

The footballers from Poznan don’t expect the Friday game to be easy. However, they reassured they are ready for this tough mission. “For sure we are not going to give up. Every single match is as important to us as any final,” said Maciej Wilusz. “Every match is equally important to us. The clash with Lechia was meaningful, and so were the previous games with Termalica and Piast. We want to win every single one of those matches and we hope we can extend our successful series,” emphasized the defender who has so far been Bjelica’s no. 1 choice in the spring league round.

Bjelica’s team is well-prepared for the rest of the league season. Even when the situation requires them to show not only football skills but also character, the players from Poznan are capable of triumphing on the pitch. “That’s what happened against Lechia. There are matches where you have to show your will to fight and your commitment, not only football skills. We know what to do when we find ourselves in a similar situation. We are concentrated in 100% on the work we have to complete,” explained Maciej Makuszewski, Lech’s winger.

Radoslaw Majewski is expecting the clash with Arka to attract Lech’s fans. “A full stadium is an additional motivation for us. One of the reasons you play football is the exhilarating atmosphere at a stadium. The match against Arka might be similar in terms of the physical clashes and the fight on the pitch. However, this time we will make sure that we also show good football style,” said Majewski.
