The 2005-born player has been connected to Lech Poznań since he was a child – he joined the club early on from AP Ostrów Wielkopolski. Maksymilian began his adventure at Lech in the Poznań-based part of the Academy and then moved to Wronki. Together with his youth teammates, he won a Polish Championship medal in the U-17 category in 2021 (silver) and U-19 (gold) age group in 2023. In the meantime, he also made a debut in Lech’s B Team and went on to play a key role in the squad. In the most recent campaign, Dziuba accumulated 29 appearances, 6 goals and 3 assists.
In the autumn of 2023, Dziuba also debuted in Lech’s senior team – he spent 90 minutes on the pitch in the Fortuna Polish Cup clash with Zawisza Bydgoszcz. This year, the midfielder competed in three top-tier league games and a national cup match against Pogoń Szczecin. In addition, in recent months, Dziuba was a key figure in the U-19 Polish national team – in October, he appeared in all Euro qualifying games.
Now the midfielder from Ostrów Wielkopolski will begin another chapter in his career. He will continue gaining crucial experience playing on the second-division pitches. On Tuesday, his loan to GKS Tychy was finalized and he will spend the upcoming season competing for the club from Silesia. In the last season, Dziuba’s new team ended 9th in Fortuna 1. Liga. Coach Dariusz Banasik has been in charge of GKS Tychy’s squad since April.
