Daylon Claseen is the recent signing of Lech Poznań. 23 year old midfielder from South Africa signed a contract for one year with the possibility of extension for another two years. Hes going to wear no. 22.
Claasen was born on January 28th, 1990. He started his career in Ajax Kapsztad. In July 2008 he was signed by Ajax Amsterdam where he spent two year in the reserves. In 2010 he was transferred to Belgian team Lierse SK. In the three years playing for Lierse he appeared in 78 matches and scored 9 goals. During the last season hes been struggling with a knee injury which allowed him to play only 7 games. In April this year his contract expired and he became a free player.
Claasen has been on tests in Everton this summer but David Moyes move has influenced the lack of signing. Hull City and Blackpool were other English clubs interested in the player but this time other problems appeared, to be exact the disallowance for work.
Daylons favorite position is no. 10 but he can also plays at both wings and as a defensive midfielder. His style of playing reminds of Steven Pienaar. Hes played for National Team 7 times. Ive already seen the stadium and it made a big impression on me, mostly because its well equipped. Ive heard a lot about Lech fans and I would love to get to feel the atmosphere during the matches. I would like to become a part of this team. Finding my place in the locker room as soon as I can, getting to know my teammates and helping the team to achieve successes are the goals for the season, says Daylon Claasen.
