On Thursday 13th of June, Lech Poznan will commence the pre-season preparations. The first few days will concentrate on various medical tests, whereas after 4 days, the squad will travel to Opalenica where the pre-season training camp will be held.
On 19th of May, Lech played the last league game of the 2018/19 season. Until this week, the players were on holiday resting ahead of the upcoming training camp and friendly matches. On Thursday, the squad will return to the stadium and undergo a set of medical tests enabling the coaching staff to design individual training plans for their footballers.
A couple of new players will join Lech’s squad on Thursday. Mickey van der Hart and Karlo Muhar are the newest signings and they will both meet their teammates for the first time this week. In addition, there is a number of footballers returning from loan – Pawel Tomczyk, Tymoteusz Puchacz, Jakub Moder, and Milosz Mleczko.
Thursday and Friday will be devoted to medical check-up. On the first day, the team will undergo tests (blood and anthropometry examinations) at the stadium and in Rehasport clinic. Meanwhile, on the following day, the coaching staff planned progressive tests focusing on endurance, and in the afternoon the squad will participate in the first training session of the 2019/20 season.
On Monday next week, Lech’s first team will travel to Opalenica where they are going to prepare for the upcoming friendly matches until June 27th. During the training camp, Lech will play friendly games against Widzew Lodz, Broendby Copenhagen (Denmark), and AEK Larnaka (Cyprus). Mateusz Skrzypczak will train with the first team starting Monday, whereas his teammates (Karol Szymanski, Wiktor Plesnierowicz, and Jakub Kaminski) from the reserves team which won a promotion to a higher division last week are going to join the senior squad on June 24th.
