Antoni Kozubal is returning to Lech Poznań. The midfielder spent the last year and a half on loan at GKS Katowice and has now been recalled. Kozubal will begin the pre-season preparations with Lech’s senior squad on June 20th.
Antoni Kozubal moved to Lech’s Academy in 2017 – at the age of 13 – from Beniaminek Krosno. After three seasons competing for the youth teams, he debuted in Lech’s senior squad. Not long later, he joined the first team’s training camp and in March 2021, he made his official debut in PKO BP Ekstraklasa. Since then, Kozubal made 7 appearances for the senior team.
In the spring of 2023, the young midfielder joined GKS Katowice. The team from Southern Poland decided to extend the loan in the summer of last year. Now, upon the end of the loan, the 19-year-old is returning to Poznań. There is no doubt that the past year has been a successful one for Kozubal. Not only did he not miss a single second-division match – and accumulated 2998 minutes in 34 games, along with 5 goals and 10 assists – but he also helped the team from Katowice win promotion to PKO BP Ekstraklasa. Now Kozubal will get a chance to prove himself to Niels Frederiksen’s coaching staff.
