A feeling of disappointment

The fans at the National Stadium saw two completely different halves of the final of the Polish Cup. Even though Lech began the game really well, at last it was Henning Berg's team that celebrated a win. Coach Skorza remained dissatisfied with the result.

Winning the cup is a wonderful feeling. Two best teams played against each other, the atmosphere at the stadium was amazing, much better than the pitch, but I won't complain because we have just won. We played a poor first half and a better second one. We found our pace and completed tactical plans. We played the way we were ought to in those conditions.

I was satisfied with the result at halftime because it could have been much worse. We said to ourselves that if we do what we can and should do, we have a chance to win the trophy. The players' attitude was correct and I am proud of them for having won despite losing 0:1.

We are overjoyed, now we can celebrate and on Monday we will focus on the upcoming match. Our aim is to win the league. We are occupying the first place in the table and we will face Lech at our own stadium. We know that we are the leaders ahead of the play-offs, however soon no one will remember about it. Last time during the division of the points we lost 5 of them, now only one, and these are the rules. We have seven matches ahead of us and our goal is to play seven good games.

Most of all we are highly disappointed having lost a match even though we do not consider ourselves as the worse team. Especially in the first half, when we were the ones that dictated the terms. The players fulfilled the tactical plans well. It seems that the only thing missing was the second goal. If we succeeded in one of those goal attempts, most probably we would be the ones celebrating now.

Legia is the kind of team that uses any opportunity they get. It hurts that we lose goals following corner and free kicks and we lose focus in such decisive moments, even though those goals were scored in controversial situations. Following the second goal Legia took control of the match, dominated the midfield and that we found problematic.

It is a sad day for us. After the first half it seemed that we were capable of playing well for the whole 90 minutes, however we failed to do so. We are a young team that is still developing and when we shake off the emotions, I will analyze the good parts of the game.
