12 points in the last 4 matches of this calendar year – that’s the aim set by Lech’s players. “We know we will play against - theoretically – weaker teams, however, in real life there are no easy games,” emphasized Lech’s footballer.
In the upcoming 4 matches, the team from Poznan will face Piast Gliwice (currently ranked 15th), Cracovia (ranked 12th), Zaglebie Lubin (8th), and Bruk-Bet Termlica Nieciecza (13th). However, Bjelica’s players don’t look at their rivals’ current rank in the league table, especially that they themselves had an unsuccessful run recently and fell from the first spot in the league, to the 6th one.
“Our goal is to win every single of those matches and we are very determined to do so. We are all happy that we managed to end the unsuccessful series of matches without a win by defeating Wisla Plock. That match was incredibly important to us and it will undoubtedly have an impact on the upcoming clash with Piast Gliwice. On Sunday our aim will be three points and this is what we are fully focused on now,” explained Darko Jevtic, Lech’s midfielder.
Lech’s players don’t want to analyze their opponents ahead of the scheduled matches, but rather concentrate on the way the team from Poznan performs, which coach Bjelica emphasized before the match against Wisla Plock. “We don’t want to talk about our rival anymore. For us, what matters the most is our performance, our attitude and our preparation for the match,” said the coach at the pre-match press conference. The players agree with the coach.
“It’s our task to play well in every single game and analyze our own performance. The upcoming game will be as difficult as any other. We need to be prepared the best way we possibly can because Piast is a demanding rival. The team from Gliwice creates scoring chances and fights hard on the pitch. If we don’t show our character, the rival will. We need to show what we’re capable of,” explained Emir Dilaver, Lech’s defender.
