On Friday, the Russian striker Timur Zhamaletdinov reached an agreement with Lech. The 21-year-old joined the Polish club on a loan until the end of the season with an option of buyout in summer.
Zhamaletdinov started his career at CSKA Moscow where he climbed up the academy ranks. He made his debut for the senior team in a Russian Cup match in September 2016. Since then, Timur appeared in 41 games for Moscow during which he scored 5 times and assisted his teammates once. 3 of those goals were scored in league clashes. During the current season, the Russian striker won the Russian Super Cup after his team defeated Lokomotiv Moscow in the final.
“Timur has been trained technically well and he is capable of creating a scoring chance and finishing it off with a precise shot. It’s the type of striker who cooperates with the midfield very well and is skilled at finding spaces in the opponent’s defensive line. In addition, he also engages in the defense of his own goal,” explained Juskowiak.
The player himself is also happy about the transfer. The 21-year-old emphasised his eagerness to fight for trophies. “I am happy to have joined Lech Poznan where a big project is in the progress. I want to show my skills and rejoice the fans. I know that Lech has a number of trophies on their account and that they are always fighting for the national championship title. I am joining the team with an aim to help them achieve this goal,” said Zhamaletdinov.
Timur Zhamaletdinov is the second player to join Lech this winter after Juliusz Letniowski who arrived to Poznan from Bytovia Bytow.
